Strategic Spring Deployment

Deployed in early spring, Oxybot’s advanced autonomous system intervenes when it matters most, destroying the root cause rather than just treating symptoms.

What sets Oxybot apart is not only its proactive approach, but also its environmental stewardship: as it works, Oxybot leaves a trail of highly oxygenated water, restoring natural balance without a single drop of added chemicals.

Technical Innovation

Oxybot ushers in the next generation of lake protection by combining two well documented physics phenomena;  hydraulic cavitation and plasma oxidation. This dual-action approach sets a new benchmark for eliminating harmful algae and bacteria while maintaining the natural balance and safety of aquatic environments.

Hydraulic Cavitation – The First Line of Attack:
At the heart of Oxybot is  enhanced  hydraulic cavitation, an advanced method that generates intense local sustained pressure changes within the water. When  lake water is pumped  through a specialized chamber, microscopic bubbles rapidly form and collapse, creating powerful shock waves. These implosions physically rupture the cell walls of algae, disrupting their buoyancy and preventing them from rising to the surface as blooms. By attacking the structural integrity of algal cells, Oxybot destroys the foundation of bloom formation at its earliest stage—long before visible symptoms endanger recreation or water supplies.

Electro-Cavitation and Plasma Oxidation – Accelerated Remediation:
Building on cavitation, Oxybot’s proprietary electro-cavitation chamber introduces a strong electric field across the zone where nano bubbles are formed. This advanced setup produces an extremely low-impedance path, enabling the safe release of ultra-short (nanosecond) high-voltage pulses directly into the water. These pulses energize the nano bubbles, transforming them into tiny reactors that emit plasma and generate a cascade of oxidative molecules—including hydroxyl radicals, atomic oxygen, hydrogen peroxide, and ozone.

This plasma oxidation process is crucial: the reactive oxidative species instantly attack photosynthetic pigments and degrade toxins inside algae and bacteria. Photosynthesis is halted, cell survival is compromised, and dangerous cyanotoxins (such as microcystins) are neutralized at a molecular level. Oxybot’s method is chemical-free, producing no persistent environmental residues and ensuring lake health without harming fish, plants, or beneficial organisms.

Cutting-Edge Science, Custom Solutions:
Oxybot is built upon years of research in physical water treatment, nanobubble science, and plasma chemistry, setting a new industry standard in environmental robotics. Unlike one-size-fits-all chemical or ultrasonic treatments, our autonomous system is tailored for each client’s unique lake environment. Sensor inputs from in situ instruments provide live data, allowing Oxybot to continually adapt its intervention strategy, maximizing effectiveness and minimizing unnecessary disturbance.

A Focus on Prevention:
Most importantly, Oxybot is designed for strategic, preventive intervention. By acting early and decisively, it addresses contamination before it can threaten lake access or public health. This innovative approach eliminates costly, reactive cleanup cycles and ensures that communities enjoy clean, safe, open lakes throughout the season.

In summary, Oxybot’s strategic combination of hydraulic cavitation and electric field-driven plasma oxidation represent the forefront of lake remediation technology—delivering robust, tailored, eco-friendly solutions for every client, with proven effectiveness against the most problematic algae, bacteria, and toxins.

The Demise of Algae and Harmful Microorganisms

Oxybot sets a new benchmark in intelligent lake management by combining real-time monitoring with cutting-edge remediation technology. Our autonomous platform features an integrated multi-probe sensor suite—anchored by the world’s first on-board E. coli detection system. That means no more delays waiting for lab results: Oxybot instantly identifies threats, informing proactive intervention when it matters most.

While patrolling your water, Oxybot ruptures buoyant algal vesicles, desrupts  photosynthesis, and rapidly neutralizes harmful microorganisms. At the same time, Oxybot  breaks down and detoxifies hazardous microcystins—leaving your lake safe and inviting for recreation, with no chemical additives.

Oxybot is purpose-built to address the top concerns of lakefront communities:

  • Directly detects and mitigates E. coli bacteria and swimmer’s itch at their source—before outbreaks force beach closures.
  • Targets and destroys the root cause of harmful algal blooms, not just the visible symptoms.
  • Supports a healthy, natural water environment and helps maintain strong community trust and visitor confidence.

With Oxybot, lake front property owners, and resort communities gain powerful tools to prevent disruptions, protect families, and ensure a vibrant, accessible waterfront season after season.

Continuous Monitoring and Adaptive Response

Oxybot is programmed directly via your smartphone, putting full control of lake protection in the palm of your hand. Thanks to integrated GPS and cellular technology, you can easily route Oxybot to patrol specific zones around your lake, ensuring targeted coverage where it’s needed most. Your cell phone also acts as a real-time data hub, receiving continuous water quality updates and operational status directly from Oxybot—so you stay informed and responsive, no matter where you are. This seamless mobile integration makes safeguarding your waterfront simple, smart, and proactive.

Oxybot’s advanced lake protection system continuously measures key water quality parameters using state-of-the-art  multi-parameter sensor probes, guaranteeing a comprehensive and adaptive response to emerging threats. The  sensor suite will track an extensive range of indicators in real time, including:

  • Dissolved Oxygen (DO): The  probe utilizes an optical sensor with a luminophore that is excited by blue light and emits red light, providing accurate DO readings that reflect the lake’s ability to support aquatic life. This method is highly reliable and immune to CO₂ contamination, ensuring precise lake health assessment without chemical reagents.
  • E. coli & Coliform Bacteria: Ion Works employs fluorescence technology, targeting tryptophan-like molecules emitted by coliforms and E. coli. It detects both actively fluorescing bacteria and “Viable But Non-Culturable” (VBNC) pathogens. Measurements are taken every second, allowing for immediate alerting and rapid classification of bathing water safety—crucial for early detection of contamination spikes.
  •  In addition to DO and microbial contamination, Oxybot can simultaneously measure temperature, pH, turbidity, conductivity, blue-green algae (BGA), chlorophyll a, dissolved organic carbon (DOC), biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), chemical oxygen demand (COD), and more. This extensive parameter list ensures the most complete picture of lake conditions possible.

With the synergy of  real-time multi-parameter monitoring and Oxybot’s autonomous remediation, lake safety and clarity are protected with unmatched precision and responsiveness.

Targeted Treatment: Eliminating Harmful Algae and Bacteria

Oxybot sets a new benchmark for lake safety by directly targeting and neutralizing the sources of harmful algal blooms, pathogenic bacteria (such as E. coli), and swimmer’s itch organisms. Guided by data from  multi-parameter probes and sensors, Oxybot pinpoints hotspots contamination with laboratory-grade accuracy—detecting spikes in algae, bacteria, and toxins in real time. Once contamination is identified, the autonomous buoy navigates to the affected area using GPS and cellular guidance.
